EVENT REGULATIONS
Constellation City, a vibrant hub of art, culture, and community, is committed to ensuring a safe and sustainable environment for all.
To uphold this commitment, we have established a set of regulations designed for the well-being of our community and the preservation of our natural surroundings. Adherence to these regulations is essential.
Key Points
Welcome to the Everywhen! As you prepare to join us, please familiarize yourself with our specific regulations, designed to protect both our community and the beautiful, federally protected wilderness we call home.
Leave No Trace
Pre-Event Preparation: Remove all non-essential packaging before arriving. Our event is dedicated to leaving no trace in the wilderness, requiring each attendee to minimize their environmental impact.
Trash: There are no trash cans on-site. You must pack out all garbage, leaving the site as pristine as you found it.
Grey Water: Do not dump grey water (dirty water from washing) on the ground. Plan to manage and remove this waste responsibly.
Human Waste: Do not urinate or defecate on the playa. Use the porta potties for your bathroom needs.
Leaking Fluids: Catch any leaking fluids with containers or tarps. If fluids spill onto the playa, it's your responsibility to clean it up.
Camp Strike: Check your camping and installation areas for trash before leaving. Walk through the site and pick up anything that does not belong on the playa.
Post-Event Cleaning: To remove playa dust from gear, use a diluted solution of white vinegar or lemon juice. For hard surfaces, use a spray bottle; for fabrics, add to your wash.
Fire and Fuel Management
Fire Restrictions: No fires directly on the Playa. Use raised fire pits or burn barrels, at least 6 inches off the ground.
Fire Extinguishers: Bring a fire extinguisher, especially if you're using portable stoves or have open flames in your camp.
Fuel Storage:
Gasoline, white gas, and other liquid fuels must be stored outside of enclosed spaces, and in a secondary container that can hold 110% of the content to prevent spills. Storing your fuel containers inside a plastic bin work perfectly. Law enforcement will be enforcing proper fuel storage.
Keep fuel containers at least 15 feet from flames and ignition sources.
Fire Art:
A project team member must be present during use.
All flame effects require a fuel cut-off valve
Fire art require Everywhen Project pre-approval and inspection.
Environmental Preparation
Clothing: Bring layered clothing for varying temperatures. Lightweight long sleeves and pants are recommended for sun protection.
Protective Gear: Bring goggles and masks for dust storms. Pack essentials like water and food when venturing out.
Shade: Avoid EZ-Up Shade Canopies, as they don’t withstand desert winds. Secure all shade structures firmly to the ground.
Dishwashing: Use a three-container system for dishwashing, be mindful of water scarcity and the prohibition against dumping grey water on the ground.
Reusable Cups: Carry a durable cup for refreshments. This reduces trash and is a convenient way to stay hydrated.
Cameras:
Use weather-sealed cameras or protective covers in dusty conditions.
Always obtain consent before photographing others.
Weather:
In case of lightning, take shelter in a vehicle immediately.
DO NOT DRIVE ON WET PLAYA! YOU WILL GET STUCK!
DO NOT DRIVE DURING WHITE-OUT DUST STORMS!
